EYFS

We operate within the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a framework which recognises the holistic nature of development and learning through seven 7 areas. It emphasises the importance of learning through play, exploration, critical thinking, interaction with people and real life experiences. The EYFS also consists of general tracking of children's development and progress using the Development Matters government framework in each area of development. This showing the age and stage of development from 8 months to 5 years.

Children can move freely around the room, exploring all 7 areas of learning and development each day-playing, talking, observing, planning, questioning, experimenting, reflecting, exploring and creating. Our team carefully plan and evaluate a range child initiated and adult-led activities, giving children the skills and knowledge that will prepare them for the next stage of their life.
